LCS News, the Communications Department for Leon County Schools, is dedicated to fostering transparent, open, and effective communication between our schools, students, families, and the broader community. Our goal is to ensure that all stakeholders are informed, engaged, and connected with the district's mission, programs, and achievements.
We manage a variety of communication platforms, including the district website, social media channels, newsletters, and press releases, to share important information and celebrate the success of our students, staff, and schools. We work closely with educators, administrators, and the school board to ensure that key messages are delivered in a timely and accurate manner.
In addition to providing updates on district initiatives, events, and policies, LCS News is committed to enhancing community engagement through open dialogue and feedback. We value the input of parents, guardians, and local residents, and we strive to create a welcoming atmosphere where everyone’s voice can be heard.
