Elaine Owens

  • I am Elaine Owens and I have been teaching at Desoto Trail Elementary School since 2003. I have many years of teaching experience including Pre-K, Kindergarten, Digital Academy (virtual kindergarten) and Exceptional Student Education.

I love teaching Kindergarten! My mission as a teacher is to help each child discover the joy of learning and to help each one develop a strong belief in his or her own ability. I want them to do their best and to have a sense of pride in what they are learning. I strive to promote learning that is developmentally appropriate for young children through meaningful activities and hands-on experiences.

It is also of primary importance to foster a fun, loving and respectful learning environment and school family.
