Welcome to Ms. Morris’ 4th Grade Class!
I’m looking forward to another exciting year teaching 4th grade at DeSoto Trail Elementary. I’ve been teaching in Leon County since 1988 and continue to enjoy the rewarding profession of educating children. I was born and raised in Tallahassee and am a product of Leon County Schools. I attended Florida State University where I received my B.S. in Elementary Education. I also earned my National Board Teacher Certification in 2000 and I am Reading and ESOL endorsed.
I have two adult children, Heather and Chase, and have fond memories of the years they attended DeSoto Trail. Three grandbabies have joined our family and they are bringing us lots of joy. I also have a large extended family and am blessed to have most of them living in Tallahassee.
Some of my favorite things to do, when I am not teaching, are reading, shopping, watching movies and FSU ballgames, going to the beach, going out to dinner, volunteering at my church, and spending time with family and friends.
My goal this year is to meet the needs of the students in my class and encourage them to perform at their highest ability each and every day. They will learn many new things in 4th grade and you will be amazed at the progress they make. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.
