According to RubeGoldberg.com, 'Rube Goldberg was a Pulitzer Prize winning cartoonist best known for his zany invention cartoons.' He was an engineer who loved drawing. The site goes on to share, 'Rube Goldberg is the only person ever to be listed in the dictionary as an adjective. A Rube Goldberg Machine is a 'comically involved, complicated invention, laboriously contrived to perform a simple operation' (according to Webster's New World Dictionary).'
