• Physical Education contributes to the development of the whole child; physically, cognitively, emotionally, and socially.  The physical Education Departments main objective is guiding students in becoming healthy and active for their lifetime.  Each student is viewed as an individual with unlimited potential who wants to learn, who can learn, and who enjoys moving. Movement concepts and skill themes are used that enables all children to have a positive and successful experience with Physical Education.  Physical Education focuses on the teaching of skills, the acquisition od knowledge, and development of attitudes through movement.  Most public schools recognize the importance of physical education by making it a part of the curriculm.  School physical education and wellness program provides each person with various opportunities from the assessment of fitness levels and the appropriate activities that will help overcome persoanal weaknesses to the acquisition of lifetime fitness-type activities.  Physical Education remains a vital part of the total process of educationthat utilizes games, sports. dance, and other vigorous activities to help the individual achieve the goals of education.
