Janeen Larson has been a public educator for 21 years.  After serving as a classroom teacher for 15 years, Ms. Larson transitioned into the role as the Chaires Library Media Specialist. She has a love for all things children's literature which she believes should be sprinkled around Chaires like glitter. She works to support the growth of all readers from pre-K to fifth grade, helping students find their preferred reading genre and growing the confidence to state their reading interest. She loves to welcome families into the library and connecting students to new texts. 

She is a graduate of Florida State University and holds a Bachelors as a Teacher of Visual Disabilities, a Masters in Elementary Education and an Educational Specialist in Secondary English Education.
