She has one son, who finished Fairview's IB Prep program, and is also a graduate of Florida State University.  She has been a teacher at Fairview Middle School for 23 of her 24 years teaching, and has taught in many different positions.  She has also been in many leadership roles at Fairview, and is currently the 6th grade IB Prep Team Leader and ELA Department Chair.  She loves being a Fairview Falcon, and enjoys teaching her students language arts in 6th grade Magnet and Non-Magnet classes.

Philosophy

All children have creative minds, it just takes the right support from teachers, parents, and other school personnel to get the best out of each student.  I am here to challenge students to that next level of thinking.  I want my students to think beyond the basic ideas and start thinking analytically.  My challenge this year is to teach the standards in a creative way that will keep each mind moving and soaring into the future.
