During this time, she earned the prestigious National Board Certification as a Middle Child Generalist and emerged as a leader among her peers—mentoring fellow educators and contributing to impactful schoolwide initiatives.
As her career progressed, Carmen transitioned into school leadership after earning a Master’s Degree from Florida A&M University, serving as Assistant Principal at Roberts Elementary School. Now serving as Principal of Pineview Elementary School, Carmen has played a pivotal role in the school’s remarkable turnaround—from a failing grade to earning an “A” rating. Her leadership has fostered a culture of positivity, high expectations, and academic excellence. A published children’s book author and passionate advocate for creative, student-centered learning, Carmen continues to inspire both students and fellow educators.
